Assessment

Hi all,

Just a reminder I need your assessment data at the end of the semester.  In a spreadsheet please provide me with the following information columns:

student’s name (last & first), username, student’s curriculum (e.g. AIM/HIM/CIS,CSS,CWW,CSA,ISC,ZZN,Other), student’s assessment grade (see below for specific required columns in bold) and student’s final grade (so we can assess relationship between outcome and final grade as they could fail the assessment but still pass and graduate) and summary of the data (e.g. last year many faculty provided information and cited that the students that do not pass the assessment criteria due to lack of submission, etc.)

AIM/HIM

CMPT 112 we have 2 criteria so we will need separate grades/columns for the following:

In CMPT 112 – Advanced Information Processing with Business Communications, Students will be presented with a culminating information management problem and students will be asked to provide and communicate an appropriate integrated solution.  The solutions will be reviewed by the professor using uniform rubrics

In CMPT 112 – Advanced Information Processing with Business Communications, Students will be asked to use and document their use of computing technology to provide and communicate an appropriate integrated information management solution.  The student’s documented methodologies and end results will be reviewed by the professor using uniform rubrics

In AITC 166 – Internship, students will create a resume and document their research of employment opportunities.   The student’s resume and employment research documentation will be reviewed by the professor using uniform rubrics. Please provide a separate column for this

CIS General

CISS 110 GenEd

We need single column

In CISS 210 – Information Systems Analysis & Design, students will be assigned projects and as a natural part of systems analysis and design process they  will be asked to identify, assess, distinguish and utilize data, information and computing systems with respect to their quality, proper use and storage.  Students will document these standard information systems projects and concepts in a portfolio and the student’s documented methodologies and end results will be reviewed and assessed by the professor using uniform rubrics.

We need portfolio grade for: identify, assess, distinguish and utilize data, information and computing systems with respect to their quality, proper use and storage.

In CISS 210 – Information Systems Analysis & Design, students will be presented with information systems problems and they will be asked to analyze processes and problems and develop and apply information system based solutions.  Students will document their information systems solutions in a portfolio and the student’s documented methodologies and end results will be reviewed by the professor using uniform rubrics.

CWW

In CISS 227 XML and Advanced Web and Information Management, students will be asked to complete Web projects based on real world problems and apply their Web design and programming skills presented in CISS 220 Introduction to Web Design and Development, CISS 221 Web Design – Client Side Programming with JavaScript, CISS 225 Web Design – Server Side Programming with PHP and MySQL and CISS 227 XML and Advanced Web and Information Management to provide possible solutions to the Web project assignments.  The assignments will be aggregated into a portfolio which will be graded by the professor using uniform rubrics
